You can refuel today

Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.
Tony Robbins

One of the great thing about our new car is the distance we can travel before refueling. My spiritual tank however cannot make it for an extended period of time without pausing to “refuel” my inspiration. My curious mind is most often the catalyst that spurs me on to new experiences and new resources. I have a hunger and a thirsty soul! Typically I want those experiences to be uplifting and void of negativity. I guess that is why I over react when someone holds on to a fear based concept especially if it is connected to a religious experience.

Years ago we decided we would look at only one local and one national news broadcast a day. We never look at the late night news because we do not want to allow such negativity and fear instilling events to be put in our minds right before going to sleep. A major study was just released that connected major illness to extended television watching. A higher percentage of the more serious diseases like diabetes and heart problems were experienced by those watching over five hours of television a day.

During the past few years I have had to rely on reading inspirational books to receive the spiritual fuel I am always seeking. Some people are blessed by getting all their needs fulfilled routinely through their faith based church experiences. I need a variety of experiences like seminars, lectures and workshops to satisfy my passion to live life to the fullest. Because of this insatiable hunger to learn more and be aware of everything available to keep me walking toward a more peaceful, spiritually evolved life, we have hosted many of these events at our home. One of the spiritual teachers we frequently had at our house for small group discussions was Mary Jo McCabe. She moved from Louisiana to Florida several years ago.

Mary Jo gave a group presentation at the Marriott Hotel this week so she spent the night at our house. Her presence was a temporary infusion and stirred in us the desire to seek out more. She did offer some suggestions on creating the life of positive possibilities I continue to seek. Many of my readers may also be interested in this.
She has written several books but  she said her second book Come This Way A Better Life Awaits is still her favorite. She said this book is her way of reaching out to help those who are searching for spiritual knowledge and guidance.

"You are a part of God. To feel a oneness with your inner God, you must embrace your uniqueness. As you become more accepting of yourself, life becomes more balanced. As trust in yourself, deepens, you finally accept your individuality."

The Guides

For many years I have practiced a few rituals that have now become a habit. Even though I have had tremendous results like manifesting two all-expense paid trips to Europe by goal setting, it is always encouraging when a spiritual teachers confirms that the practice has validity for everyone.

Mary Jo suggested, “Write down in a notebook your daily goal. While long term goals are necessary, setting daily goals are a must. Daily goals are not only manageable they are  attainable. If you will only think through your day before starting it, you will be more in control of how the day flows.”

You may want to turn off the television for 30 minutes and use this free time to write down your short term and long term goals. It is always good hearing about the success you are having by incorporating some of the tools I have suggested from my tool box. Your story will offer encouragement to other readers of my blog postings.
