I am a very visual person. To feel confident about results I have to use tools from my toolbox that include visual aids. That is why my dream board works and gives me a high rate of success.

If you view my video on About Me on my blog you can see my tool box with the balloons on it. This was the funniest thing on the video when I viewed it before it was edited. The wind was blowing and the balloons kept hitting me in the face. Looking back at that moment I realize the significant sign that was to me emphasizing the importance of this tool in creating a life of abundance.

Much emotional pain and inner turmoil occur when friendships are ending, when we are allowing people that irritate us in our work environment to control us, or when we are confronted with any conflicts with family or friends. Often ordinary or unexpected life experiences attempt to negatively influence the positive outcome we want to achieve. If we allow this distraction to engage our thoughts or our time to any extent we create a block for the flow of positive solutions, new opportunities, and untapped resources.

When any of these things happen in my life I use the balloon releasing exercise to assist me. I use a Post-It note to name the person or situation I want to release and I put that note on one side of the balloon. On another note I write what or who I want to attract in my life and I put that note on the other side of the balloon. I then go to an open area free of trees, say a prayer for the person or situation I am releasing, let go of the balloon and watch it until I can no longer see it. This is an effective visual tool that works for me and for many others I have shared it with.

A friend of mine was having a problem with a major competitive shift that was happening in his industry. The phones stopped ringing and referrals just stopped occurring.  One major competitor with a lower pricing structure was taking over the market. These events were affecting him, his wife, and their children. I met with them and coached them through the balloon experience. Every family member wrote notes on the balloons and released them at the same time.

Several months later he called to let me know the great things that were happening in their business. New business opened up from a market he had never pursued in the past, new people started referring his company and he expanded his business by opening a satellite company.

Did all of these things happen by just releasing a few balloons? I don't think so. This tool did offer a visual release of what was controlling the focus of their attention and energy. In their situation the negativity and fear-filled thought patterns had them feeling helpless and out of control.

Today is a great day to release any long lasting issues, begin anew and freely pursue your goals. Hurry and get your balloon!
