Symbols…carry the ego mind beyond its definitive and limited third dimension to the undreamed-of dimensions of the human soul. They supply humanity with meaning and meaningfulness that make life something worth living
I am a very visual person therefore I need noticeable signs to support my quest to live each day to the fullest. Those of you who have followed my postings for the past few weeks are aware that I had to take a deep breath and move forward after being confronted with many unexpected home repair expenses. I take great pride in the compliment I recently received from our financial advisor when he said "you are a good steward of your finances." Last week when I was writing checks daily to the plumber and electrician covering unforeseen expenses I began to feel a total loss of control. I certainly did not feel like such a good steward.
I often tell the readers of my blog about the tools I use from my tool box to create a life of abundance. Now here I was facing an opportunity to practice what I preach. I used my quiet morning time to focus my thoughts and energies to settle back and regroup. Of course this is always the time when I do my writing and reflection.
I have participated in several workshops given by Mary Jo McCabe.” As quoted in her first published book Learn to See “Mary Jo provides a conscious approach to everyday life, enabling you to become more fully aware of who you are and how you can use your personal symbols to open a library of limitless knowledge waiting for you.” This book offers many suggestions of tools to use to get our own answers in solving problems and in seeking guidance for living a life of abundance. She has a great newsletter offering many of the ideas she presented in workshops to those who sign up to receive it. https://www.facebook.com/maryjmccabe/
Being a visual person I have developed a process of using visual tools that work for me. As I have previously mentioned I always start my day writing in my grateful journal. When I finish this writing I write down three questions for guidance for my day. I use three sources to get my answers: Mary Jo’s Symbol Cards that have messages to clarify my questions, Doreen Virtue‘s cards “Healing with the Angels,” and Daily Word for affirmations followed by a scripture passage of the day.
Yesterday I received the powerful message that these tools are working. Coming off an emotional roller coaster week I really needed visual signs to support my positive approach to life.
The following were the three questions I wrote to receive guidance;
The following are the answers I received by using my three tools:
In a spiritual counseling session years ago Mary Jo told me "Your talent is seeing the bush and knowing the berries are somewhere." Those words came alive as I became emotionally charged to the point of tears rolling down my face as I realized the answers to my questions were exactly the words I had written down.
During the next 90 days you may want to utilize tools most helpful to you in finding the answers you are seeking. Write down three things you are seeking to achieve in your life for today. Then explore the guidance given to you through your tools to receive the answers you seek. Be patient. It may take time to establish an easy, rewarding flow in this process.
